Larry Sutherland

Larry started his career in 1959 as a revenue agent in the Detroit, Michigan IRS office where he went to a business or corporation and examined the books and records to determine if the correct amount of tax was paid to the Internal Revenue Service.  While working in Detroit, Larry also was an instructor at the training center for new revenue agents.  In 1969, Larry was transferred to Tampa, Florida for one year and then to Sarasota, Florida where he worked until retirement after 30 years of service.  After retiring from the IRS, Larry started Sutherland Tax Services, Inc. to help clients solve audit and collection problems with the IRS.  Over the years, the business has grown into a sizable accounting and taxpayer representation business.

Larry earned a Bachelor's degree in 1959 from Central Michigan University with a major in accounting and a minor in economics.

Steward Stich

Steward started his career in 1971 as a revenue agent in the Sarasota, Florida IRS office.  Steward audited businesses and corporations in the Sarasota area for 37 years and retired from government service in 2008.  During that time he was instrumental in training agents in the use of computers and worked closely with the Criminal Investigation division and testified in income tax fraud cases.   He attended several specialized training schools while working for the IRS and was an expert witness in tax cases.  Steward has an outstanding ability to solve client’s problems with the Internal Revenue Service audit and collection divisions. 

Steward earned a Bachelor’s degree in 1971 from the University of Georgia with a major in accounting. 

Carol Sutherland

Carol Sutherland has been an integral part of Sutherland Tax Services, Inc. since its beginning. She manages the office and controls all appointments, incoming and outgoing tax returns and all financial transactions.
